Cartecay Retreat is a spacious 4-bedroom, 3½-bath cabin sitting directly on the Cartecay River — one of North Georgia's most beloved mountain rivers — with room for the whole crew. Whether you're planning a family reunion, friend group getaway, or multi-family trip, this is the riverfront home you've been looking for.

The Space
This beautifully rustic cabin is situated DIRECTLY on the Cartecay River just minutes from downtown Ellijay. The moment you arrive, the sound of the river sets the tone for your entire stay. With 4 bedrooms, 3½ bathrooms, and sleeping space for 12, there's plenty of room for everyone to spread out and still come together. Three separate bedroom/living areas connected by walkways. Cozy up to the fireplace after a day on the river, or gather in the fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook for the whole group. Step out back to the hot tub, fire pit, and decks overlooking the river — nothing but flowing water and 2,000 acres of wildlife management area on all 3 sides. Pure North Georgia. Located at the end of the street, nothing but privacy and wildlife!
Fish right off the back, wade in, tube down, or just sit and listen. The river is your backyard. High speed WiFi throughout.

Ellijay is one of Georgia's most charming mountain towns and there is no shortage of things to do: tube or kayak the Cartecay, fish for trout, hike the many area trails, tour local wineries, pick apples at nearby orchards, and explore the adorable shops and restaurants of downtown Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Fall brings the famous Georgia Apple Festival (October) with corn mazes, u-pick orchards, petting zoos, and farm markets.

Guests are responsible for any pet damages. No pets on furniture or in hot tub. Additional housekeeping fee of $25–$250 if pet hair is found on furniture. Pet hair found in hot tub or filter: minimum $100 charge (nonrefundable).

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges (less $300.00 cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 30 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
